MV Transportation , Inc. is the largest privately held and domestically owned Transportation Management company in the United States and is dedicated to providing quality transportation.   Our mission is to be The Standard of Excellence in the provision of passenger transportation services and we are currently looking for a Payroll/Accounting/HR personnel for one of our Para-transit contracts in Fairfax Virginia

Job Description

Bi-weekly payroll for two separate divisions that manage Para-transit services

Executes payroll processes and provides expert services for line Management, HR and Accounting.

Ensures accurate legal obligations pertaining to HR practices and maintains confidentiality.

Develops new procedures and refines existing work methods to ensure highly successful and competitive solutions to HR, Payroll and Accounting practices.

Provides complete oversight of all Payroll/Accounting and HR correspondences and procedures with adherence to state and federal laws governing Transportation

Implements efficient payroll calculation and monthend billing in accordance with our contractual obligations and in accordance with applicable laws, payroll policies and procedures and in a timely manner.

Contributes to overall team effort in providing assistance and completing special projects that are assigned from time to time.

Provides complete oversight of the divisions two Trapeze reconciliation processes and directs the analysis, investigation and correction of errors associated with the editing of payroll and month end billing data.

Supervises and is directly responsible for processing payroll adjustments, paychecks, manual checks, garnishments, making revisions when necessary and benefits adjustments.

Provides support to our Maintenance department by assisting with processing work orders and invoices.

Ideal Candidate:

Ability to work independently with at least little to no supervision

Basic understanding of the Para-transit services

Ability to work within established Payroll/Accounting/HR timelines by meeting fixed deadlines

Strong ability to prioritize by identifying assignments as critical and non critical

Extremely strong data entry skills

Good interpersonal skills

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office package with at least some experience with Access database

Trapeze experience preferred but not necessary

Strong ability to multitask

Salary: Commensurate with experience
