RITZ CAMERA

Sales / Photo Lab Floaters

Sales / Lab floaters move seamlessly from the photo lab to the sales floor. Based on the needs of the store, you may perform both  functions at the same time or only on the sales floor or only in the lab on any given day.

 

Employees generate sales while providing exceptional customer service in a welcoming environment for all customers. These  positions develop and maintain customer relations through trust, integrity, and product knowledge. They drive both individual and store sales goals by demonstrating the ability to build customer relationships through professionalism and excellent interpersonal communication skills.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties equivalent in skill may be assigned to accomplish organizational goals.


Sales Duties:

1.Greets every customer with enthusiasm, energy, and professionalism.

2.Asks open-ended questions and listens to discover customer needs and matches them with appropriate products and services. Offers product/service solutions in a friendly, confident and knowledgeable manner. Assists customers make acceptable selections to meet their specific needs.

3.Attains and strives to exceed performance goals. Sells cameras and photo-related products and services. Displays and explains photo-related equipment such as the purpose, benefits and the overall workings. Rings sales on computerized cash register.

4.Maintains current knowledge of products and services. Attends and participates in store meetings and training as required.

5.Ensures showroom is maintained and kept clear of clutter in accordance with company policies and procedures. Assists the Store Manager in completing and maintaining plan-o-gram guidelines.

6.Assist with all aspects of store operations as assigned to include opening and/or closing the store, maintaining store cleanliness

including back room areas, and bathrooms. Calculates and reconciles daily paperwork and quarterly inventory as directed. Checks in shipments, stocks and re-stocks shelves with appropriate merchandise. May make bank deposits.

7.Maintains the most current knowledge of lab and imaging equipment operation and product manufacturing quality.

 

Photo Processing Technician Duties:

1.Responsible for developing, processing, printing and bagging film.

2.Performs basic maintenance procedures on lab machines. Maintains machine clean and ready for processing.

3.Assures all imaging products (DVDs, CDs, etc., including prints) delivered to customers meet company standards for quality (packaging,  color, printing, binding, lamination, and storage)

7.Product Knowledge: comprehend and explain Ritz Camera & Image inventory, imaging products and services. Items include cameras,

electronic products such as GPS's, video equipment and mobile phones; strives to continuously build on product and services knowledge.

8.Team Work: able to working cooperatively with others;

9.Time Management: ability to prioritize and multi-task; uses time efficiently.

Education and/or Experience

 

Minimum: H.S. Diploma or GED with at least one year of work experience, preferably in retail or dealing with the public. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Ability to multi-task, and perform effectively in situations requiring multiple and quick changing priorities.

 

Language Skills

 

Ability to read and comprehend work and product instructions as well as business policies and procedures. Ability to write simple reports, and general correspondence. Ability to effectively demonstrate and explain our products and services to a diverse customer base.


Mathematical Skills

Ability to understand and use basic math.


Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems.

Computer Skills

 

To perform this job successfully, an individual should possess basic computer knowledge using spreadsheet and word processing software skills sufficient to achieve satisfactory job performance.

 

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk, and communicate efficiently. The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds with or without assistance bend and stoop wile stocking merchandise and/or retrieving products. Occasional squatting, lifting, pushing, and/or pulling boxes weighing up to 50 pounds. The incumbent must be able to move freely through out the store on a continual basis through the workday and work a retail schedule including off hours and weekends. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
